Biography
Dr. T. Sloane Guy, M.D., MBA is currently Professor of Surgery at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital & Director of Minimally Invasive & Robotic Cardiac Surgery. He comes to Jefferson having served as Director of Robotic Cardiac Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine/New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York. Dr. Guy has a broad range of surgical capabilities but is very experienced and nationally renowned as a leader in robotic mitral valve repair and other robotic cardiac surgical procedures.
Dr. Guy's main areas of research are in the expanding field of robotic surgery. He performs all aspects of adult cardiac surgery, with a focus on robotic cardiac surgery, mitral valve disease, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He was named a New York “Top Doctor” in 2016, a Philadelphia “Top Doc” 2012-2015 prior to moving to New York City, U.S. News & World Report “Top Doctor” in 2012, 2013, & 2014 and Castle Connolly Top Doctors from 2012-2019.
